Reflexiones en torno a las confluencias entre las señales electroquímicas del cerebro, y de otras especies no humanas, y las manifestaciones culturales del entorno social. A partir de las investigaciones relacionadas con las obras Beyond human percepción (Más allá de la percepción humana) y con la instalación interactiva Exocerebro, las y los autores/as reflexionarán acerca de las distintas escalas y manifestaciones bioquímicas y culturales de la actividad mental. El exocerebro es, por tanto, una metáfora de la mente, una especie de extensión de la conciencia. Ella se expande y está presente en forma de prótesis culturales, como son la escritura, el arte, la música y todo tipo de estructuras simbólicas.

Reflections on the confluences between the electrochemical signals from the brain, and from other non-human species, and the cultural manifestations of the social environment. Based on the research related to the works Beyond human perception and the interactive installation Exocerebro, the authors will reflect on the different scales and biochemical and cultural manifestations of mental activity. The exobrain is therefore a metaphor for the mind, a kind of extension of consciousness. It expands and is present in the form of cultural prostheses, such as writing, art, music and all kinds of symbolic structures.
